鰹魚木

Logs placed perpendicular to the ridgepole, positioned between the *chigi* (forked finials) on top of the ridgepole.
It is said that if the number of *katsuogi* (decorative logs) is odd, a male deity is enshrined, and if even, a female deity is enshrined.
