延喜式

Compiled during the mid-Heian period, it is one of the *Sandai Kyaku* (three great codes of the Ritsuryō legal system).
Of the three codes, the *Engishiki* is the only one that remains almost entirely intact. Due to its detailed regulations, it serves as an important document in the study of ancient history.
