明神鳥居
The defining feature of the Myojin Torii is the upward curvature of the kasagi, the top horizontal beam. The nuki, the lower horizontal beam, uses a peg at the junction with the pillars, adding to the torii's intricate design. This type of torii is commonly associated with what people imagine when they think of a torii, making it well-known and familiar in daily life.
