A path of about 100 meters continues after the stone steps, flanked by deep green cedar trees. At the end of the path, the shrine buildings come into view, with stone lanterns at the entrance and a temizuya (purification fountain) beside the worship hall.

Ōyamada Shrine's main hall is housed within a long, narrow structure that extends outwards, similar to other shrines in the region. The simple, unpainted wooden construction exudes a sense of calm. The main hall and two additional shrines are housed within a larger structure, separated by lattice doors. Despite the dim interior, the shrine maintains a tranquil and historic atmosphere.

Inside the covered structure integrated with the worship hall, there are three main shrines. From the right, the shrines are dedicated to Emperor Ōjin, the main deity of Ōyamada Shrine, and Chinjunari Hachirō Tametomo. The right and left shrines, built in the Muromachi period, are designated Important Cultural Properties. Although the covered structure makes it difficult to examine the architecture closely, the sight of the three shrines standing in a row is impressive.
