八剣神社
13-18 Kowada, Suwa City
Yatsurugi Shrine, located in the Kowada area of central Suwa City, has been an important cultural center, with nearby Tenaga Shrine and several temples. It is closely associated with Suwa Taisha and served by its priests. At the entrance stands a large stone torii gate, and within the spacious grounds are a Kagura hall and a shrine office.
Behind this, a worship hall built by Tatekawa Washiro Tomimasa in 1848 stands, with many auxiliary shrines and two main halls enclosed by a concrete wall.
