貴船神社
2122 Fujisawa Aramachi, Ina City
Kifune Shrine is located on the west side of Ina City, in the old Takato Town.
Nearby stands the Tatekawa-style Konpira Shrine, nestled in a quiet village surrounded by mountains and fields.
It was enshrined from Kyoto during the Tensho period and has since received deep reverence as the local tutelary deity, also highly revered by the Takato Domain's Hosokawa clan.
A stone Myojin torii stands at the entrance, and the front worship hall is an irimoya-zukuri with karahafu. The main shrine, an ichimonsha nagare-zukuri, is located inside the rear shelter.
The main shrine, built by Kato Kichizaemon in 1725, is made of unfinished zelkova wood, with exquisite carvings on the side screens and a veranda surrounding the front and sides.
In addition to the shrine, there remains a portable shrine donated by the Takato Domain's Hosokawa clan upon their transfer to Yamagata in Kan'ei 13, and a children's horse procession, which has been a city-designated cultural property since the same period.
