若狭姫神社

Wakasa Hime Shrine, located in Obama City, Fukui Prefecture, consists of two shrines: the upper Wakasa Hiko Shrine and the lower Wakasa Hime Shrine.
The shrine is about 1 kilometer south of Higashi-Obama Station.
The shrine grove of Wakasa Hime Shrine is visible from the entrance, where a wooden torii gate and a straight path leading to a gate with a gabled roof can be seen.

Although the signboard inside the shrine grounds refers to it as a tower gate, the architectural style does not match that of a tower gate, making it more accurate to call it a zuijin-mon (guardian gate).
Inside the zuijin-mon, several guardian statues are placed facing each other.
The overall structure is simple and lacks notable decorations.

Passing through the zuijin-mon, the main shrine building stands straight ahead, with a stage on the right.
The wall of the stage features a pine tree painting, with a one-sided corridor extending from it.
The roof of the stage is gabled and covered with iron plates, while the corridor's roof is gabled and tiled.

The honden (main hall) is surrounded by a tamagaki (fence), with a shin-mon (sacred gate) in front.
The honden is a three-bay nagare-zukuri (flowing style) structure with a front room.
Unlike the honden of Wakasa Hiko Shrine, the roof of this honden does not have chigi (forked finials) or katsuogi (log weights).

Several smaller shrines in the nagare-zukuri style are also located around the honden, all within the shrine grove.
