都波岐神社奈加等神社
1181 Ichinomiya-cho, Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture
The Tsubaki Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Ise Province, is said to have been founded in 479 with the construction of two shrines.
The two shrines are Tsubaki Shrine and Nakato Shrine.
Nakato Shrine enshrines Sarutahiko Okami, while Tsubaki Shrine enshrines Amenohoakari-no-mikoto and Nakatsutsu-no-mikoto.
The approach to the shrine features two stone torii gates, each flanked by two pairs of komainu guardian dogs.
The main hall and surrounding fence are constructed of reinforced concrete.
It is said that the shrine was burned during Oda Nobunaga's conquest of Ise.
The main hall is a large Shinmei-zukuri style structure.
The roof features five katsuogi (roof billets) and chigi (forked finials).
The front of the hall has two doors, and it enshrines the deities of Nakato Shrine as a combined shrine.
