尾崎神社

Ozaki Shrine, located east of Kenrokuen Garden, is notable for its red-painted buildings. The shrine enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu as Tosho Daigongen and Maeda Toshitsune, the third lord of the Kaga Domain. It was built in 1643 by Maeda Mitsutaka, the ruling lord at the time.
The bright red shrine buildings are reminiscent of Nikko Toshogu Shrine. Known as the "Edo of Kanazawa" or "Nikko of Hokuriku," the shrine features the Tokugawa family crest throughout.
Behind the ornate hall of worship, the main sanctuary is enclosed by gates and walls. The shrine, including the main hall, worship hall, fence, and gate, is designated as an Important Cultural Property.
