Kota jinja

Located in Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, and within a 10-minute walk to the coast.
The shrine has new buildings with the main hall and worship hall standing out in its bright and spacious grounds.
"Ketah" is read as "Keta", indicating its connection to the Ketah Grand Shrine in Noto Province.

The enshrined deity is Ōkuninushi no Mikoto, similar to Ketah Grand Shrine.
Nearby is Kokubun-ji Temple, and it has been venerated as Echigo Province's main shrine due to the support of the provincial governor.
The shrine is also linked to Shinran and features Echigo's Seven Wonders, including the "Kataba no Ashi", reeds with leaves growing only on one side.
