諏訪八幡社
4008 Yamanouchi, Shimotakai District
Built in a steeply sloped village, the shrine is backed by Mt. Kosha, a symbolic mountain in the area.
From the shrine grounds, you can see the Zenkoji Plain, and enjoy views of peach and apple blossoms depending on the season.
There is an open space for festivals, with the worship hall situated at the back.
The main hall, housed in a protective building, is a single-bay nagare-zukuri style with a shingle roof.
The architectural features, including vibrant red and black lacquer and ornate carvings, reflect early 17th-century Momoyama-period techniques.
