Takamorisha Shrine's main shrine is located in a southern settlement of Takayama Village, surrounded by cedar groves and featuring a long, steep approach.
Despite the incline, the shrine is accessible by car up to near the main buildings, unlike other mountain shrines like Kosuge Shrine in Iiyama.
The front of the shrine grounds features a Kagura hall, with the main shrine and main hall situated behind it.
The main shrine, serving as the worship hall, spans about 7 meters and is constructed with a Tsugiki style intersecting the roof with the main hall's roofing.
Built in 1782 by Kamehara, the structure features a unique design.
The main hall, housed within the roofed structure, features a two-bay nagare-zukuri style and was constructed in 1848 by Kamehara Yoshishige.
It has four folding doors at the front and dragon carvings on the wooden nose beams.
Though hidden within the roofed structure, it represents Kamehara's exemplary craftsmanship.
