墨坂神社芝宮
1048 Shibamiya, Suzaka City, Nagano Prefecture
Known as a shrine in the Takai District near Suzaka City, it is familiar to the locals. The approach starts across a busy road, with twelve pairs of lanterns lining the path to the Ryobu torii. The shrine buildings, including the worship hall and main hall, are set apart from the approach.
A bridge over the pond and the Kamehara family-built chozuya can be seen after detouring the Taikobashi bridge. Intricate carvings adorn the chozuya.
The worship hall features impressive carvings depicting the scene of Amanoiwato, where Amaterasu is pulled out by Tejinashi no Mikoto.
The main hall cannot be seen due to the cover building. The spacious grounds make it one of the largest shrines in northern Nagano Prefecture, offering a bright and welcoming atmosphere.
