武部八幡宮
9700 Takabu, Ogawa Village, Kamiminochi District
Takebu Hachiman Shrine is located on a small hill in Ogawa Village, in the center of the Takafu area.
There is a temple next to the shrine, indicating that before the Meiji era, the shrine and temple likely shared the same grounds.
After passing through the torii gate, the shrine office is on the left.
A path lined with guardian dog statues leads to the shrine.
The guardian dogs at Takebe Hachiman Shrine have a unique appearance, with one smaller guardian dog at the feet of the right-hand statue.
The worship hall is large and impressive within the expansive shrine grounds.
The main hall can be seen through the glass of the covering structure.
The vibrant colors of the human figures are impressive.
Although it is difficult to see inside due to reflections, the large scale of the shrine buildings indicates its cultural significance in Ogawa Village.
