小川神社

Ogawa Shrine in Sawano-miya is situated deep in the mountains.
Passing through the Setogawa area of Ogawa Village, the shrine is located further along a road flanked by mountains.
At the entrance next to the shrine office stands a red-painted wooden Ryobu torii gate, with stone steps leading up to the shrine precinct.

At the top of the stone steps stands a large worship hall (haiden) built in the irimoya-zukuri style.
Flanked by guardian dog statues (komainu) on either side, the left side of the precinct houses subsidiary shrines for Akiba Shrine, Mitsumine Shrine, Shinmei Shrine, and Hachiman Shrine.
The main hall (honden) is housed within a covering structure (okiya) behind the haiden.
Built in the late Edo period, the honden is a one-bay nagare-zukuri style structure with elaborate carvings made of zelkova wood and a roof covered with cypress boards.
