玉依姫神社
Tojo, Matsushiro Town, Nagano City, Nagano Prefecture
Located at the base of Mount Amakakesan in Matsushiro, on the eastern side of Nagano City.
Originally enshrined near Iwasawa in Tojo, it was later moved to Nakagawa, where it became known as "Isonami Sansha Daimyojin" based on the area's name at the time.
The shrine was relocated to its current location in 1230.
The shrine buildings, constructed in 1833, remain standing today.
A stone torii gate is located about 200 meters from the shrine grounds, and the shrine buildings are set on a slope covered with dense trees.
Climbing the stone steps, you reach the *tsuma-iri*-style worship hall at the front.
The roof is built in the *yatmune-zukuri* style, with a unique T-shaped roofline visible.
The main hall, located further up the slope behind the worship hall, is connected by a continuous roof that climbs up the slope.
This large-scale main hall is constructed in the *sangensha nagare-zukuri* style.
The main hall is a simple wooden structure with no elaborate decorations.
It features three doors on the front and a curved roof in the *nagare-zukuri* style.
There are no verandas or side doors, giving it a minimalist design.
