源関神社
428 Toyosaka, Matsushiro-machi, Nagano City
Genseki Shrine is said to have been enshrined by the Seki clan, a branch of the Suwa gods.
It became the local guardian deity during the Edo period.
Located east of Matsushiro Castle Town, the shrine stands within a village leading to Jizo Pass, featuring a large wooden Myojin torii gate.
Beyond the torii, the haiden stands at the center of the shrine grounds, with a small inner shrine on the left and the main shrine hidden behind the haiden.
The main shrine consists of three buildings: the central Kotai Jingu, the right Sumiyoshi Shrine, and the left Genseki Shrine.
The main shrine features a single-bay nagare-zukuri style.
Although the structure appears very old due to weathering, it is estimated to have been built in the early Edo period.
