Yubuku jinja

The Yufuku Shrine, dedicated to the gods of wind and water, has a rich history of worship. The shrine's name evolved from "Ibuki no Kami" to "Ifuku no Kami" and finally to "Yufuku Daimyojin." The shrine's bronze gong was taken during the Battle of Kawanakajima and is now on Sado Island. Rebuilt after the 1847 earthquake, the current structure dates from 1862.

The shrine is also a guardian of agriculture and prosperity. During its annual festival, Zenkoji Temple makes a pilgrimage to the shrine, which honors Honda Zenko, the temple's founder.

The current shrine building was constructed in 1862 after the original was destroyed in the 1847 earthquake.
