飯笠山神社
3509 Iiyamaario,Iiyama City
Founded during the Ouei era by the lord Izumi Kojiro Chikahira, who brought its deity from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
Relocated to its current position after Uesugi Kenshin fortified the original site during the Battle of Kawanakajima.
Though enclosed by a covering, it uniquely features a three-bay nagare-zukuri main hall in the region.
It's one of the shrines in Iiyama City dedicated to the Seven Lucky Gods, enshrining Ebisu, and is a well-maintained tourist spot.
