蓼科神社奥宮

Located in Tateshina Town, with the Satomiya Shrine at the base and the Okumiya Shrine at the summit of Mount Tateshina, this shrine venerates the mountain as a sacred peak and a deity.
The exact time of its founding is unknown, but records exist from 878 AD, and in 1875, it was renamed to its current name.
Prior to that, it was known by various names, including Takai Daimyojin, Iimorikami, Hachioji Gongen, and Yatsushio Gongen.
