Mount Chausu Summit
Nasu-dake, located in Tochigi Prefecture, is counted among Japan's 100 famous mountains.
At the summit of Chausu-dake, the main peak, stands the Okumiya (inner shrine) of Nasu Onsen Shrine.
Visitors can make pilgrimages to the Okumiya from May to November.
At the summit of Chausu-dake, a torii gate faces eastward, with a stone shrine located just beyond.
From the summit, where Nasu-dake Shrine is located, visitors can overlook the town of Nasu and view the chain of peaks that make up Nasu-dake.
