Mount Kamuriki
A shrine located at the summit of Mount Kamuriki, also known as Obasute Mountain.
It enshrines the deity Tsukuyomi no Mikoto, and the moon-viewing from this location is recognized as one of Japan's three best moon-viewing spots.
The shrine features a tin-roofed building that houses the main sanctuary.
The main hall is built in the Kirizuma-zukuri (gabled) style.
In July, parishioners ascend Mount Kamuriki for a festival that includes a ritual seclusion.
