Akadake jinja

Located at the summit of Mount Aka, the highest peak of the Yatsugatake range, standing at an elevation of 2,899 meters.
Mount Aka has both a northern and a southern peak, and the Aka-dake Shrine is located on the southern peak.
Two shrines stand side by side: Aka-dake Shrine and Taisei-gu, which enshrines six gods and thirty other deities.

In the tradition of Suwa-area shrines, small Onbashira (sacred pillars) are erected around the area, with the shrines oriented westward, facing the sunset.
