Located at the summit of Mt. Kasagatake, with an elevation of 2,075 meters.
Mt. Kasagatake is one of the peaks that make up the Shiga Highlands, situated to the south, overlooking the city of Nagano.
Yamanouchi Town, where the main shrine is located, can be seen to the west.

A stone shrine is placed atop a large boulder at the summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding scenery.
Facing towards the main shrine, the shrine houses wooden plaques, and the rounded stones of the shrine bear the marks of enduring harsh weather conditions.

Although the main and rear shrines are both located within Yamanouchi Town, the significant elevation difference and distance make the location in the Shiga Highlands quite remote.
