Mimitori jinja

The Mimitori district is located near Saku City in Komoro City.
The land close to the Chikuma River forms a terrace-like area, gently descending from a wide expanse to a lower level, like a cliff.
The Mimitori district is situated on this terrace, with the shrine built on top of the bank.
It was established in the Heian period and is said to have been a place where Minamoto no Yoshinaka prayed for victory when he raised an army during the Kamakura period.

A ryobu torii stands at the entrance, and the path to the shrine is flanked by a mallet golf course, serving as a recreational area for the community.
