野々宮神社

There are several Nonomiya Shrines in Matsumoto City, but this is the only one in the former Azusagawa Village.
A large torii gate with a big frame inscribed with "Nonomiya" stands at the entrance.
The long and narrow shrine grounds feature a gabled kagura hall in front.
Further ahead, there is a similarly gabled worship hall.
The worship hall features slightly curved eaves, with darker colored radish-like carvings that stand out.
The main hall, connected by a corridor from the worship hall, is a three-bay nagare-zukuri style.
Above the head tie beam of the front porch, there is a pine carving, with deeply curved rainbow beams and bamboo-carved hand clamps that are quite striking.
Although not visible from the outside, it is said to be a very rare structure with a hidden warrior compartment under the inner sanctuary.
