下生野五社宮

Goshagu Shrine, located in Shimo-Ikuno district along Route 19, features a rare architectural style with a five-bay main hall. The shrine complex includes a stage, which is also seen in other shrines in Ikusaka Village. The worship hall, built by Ishii Sahee of the Tachikawa school, is adorned with dynamic carvings of waves and turtles.

The main hall, a Nagare-zukuri style structure, features chigi and katsuogi on the roof, reminiscent of Shinmei-zukuri. Built in the mid-Edo period, it showcases unique elements such as mizuhiki-nijibari and ebiniijibari, and rounded swirls and leaves on the bracket arms.
