Located on the south side of Hikaru Castle Hill, known for cherry blossom viewing in spring, and adjacent to Prefectural Route 57.
A narrow river flows in front of the shrine grounds, leading to the Saigawa River.
The shrine is surrounded by a large sacred grove, designated as a natural monument by Azumino City, with a gravel-paved approach and a wooden Shinmei torii gate.
The shrine grounds at the end of the approach feature a worship hall (haiden) at the back, with a Kagura hall opposite it.
To the right, the slope of the mountain houses several subsidiary shrines, while to the left, there is a steep slope with a flowing river.
Next to the worship hall are the shrine office and restrooms, with the main hall (honden) situated behind.
The main hall is built in the Shinmei-zukuri style with pillar supports.
It has no eaves, and the pillars extend from the foundation to the ridge.
The gable end features decorative elements, and the iron-roofed structure is adorned with chigi (forked roof finials) and katsuogi (log cross-pieces).
Next to the main hall is a gabled structure serving as a subsidiary shrine.
