Syumoku zukuri

This architectural style, known as *Shumoku-zukuri*, features a gable roof (*kirizuma*) covering the entire structure, with a hipped roof (*irimoya*) only at the front, giving it a unique T-shaped layout when viewed from above.
The term *Shumoku-zukuri* is derived from the T-shaped mallet used in Buddhist rituals.
This style is commonly seen in temple architecture, such as the main hall of Zenkoji Temple, and in shrines within Nagano Prefecture, including Kumano Idesuhaya Shrine and Takatori Shrine.
