楼造
Shrine buildings constructed in the rō-zukuri style, such as the worship hall of Shiono Shrine in Ueda City, are very rare in Nagano Prefecture.
Like the rōmon gates seen in temple architecture, this style features a corridor between the first and second floors, with a roof above it.
While famous examples of rō-zukuri architecture include Horyu-ji and Toshodai-ji, the worship hall of Shiono Shrine in Ueda City is also an exceptionally rare example within shrine architecture.
